Toolkit of Care
The Action’s network will collaborate to share their collective expertise and technical knowledge employed in creative ways to develop knowledge and methodologies of care. The main aim is to produce a well formulated and integrated Toolkit of Care and comprising articles, prototypes, audiovisual documentation, technical manuals, theoretical analysis, and data. It will act as a model of how to successfully share knowledge and expertise across different geographical regions and social groups.

The series of workshops Ecologies of Sound: Soundscape Composition as an Artistic Practice invites artists from any medium and practice to explore acoustic ecology, soundscape theory, and soundscape composition. The workshops are part of Dimitris Savva’s postdoctoral research, “Cyprus Forest Soundscapes and Acoustic Ecology,” which explores and documents significant forest soundscapes in Ethniko Dasos Troodous. This research involves creating an audio archive, and through seminars, soundwalks, and workshops utilizing this archive, aims to raise awareness of acoustic ecology among art practitioners and the general public in Cyprus.

Together, they interpret the media and the networks on the current situation of the world and intervene as a research group employing audio, image, language, light, installation, objects, calligraphy, and their own bodies. A series of contingent semi-improvised orchestrated performance acts surfaced at this first event.
