๐๐ก๐จ๐ญ๐จ๐ฌ๐จ๐ง๐ข๐œ๐ฌ is a research-led immersive audiovisual installation that sonifies photovoltaic (PV) system behaviour using multi-layer mapping strategies. Hourly data from sunrise to sunset is compressed into musical time, presenting winterโ€“summer contrast through three sound compositions and three accompanying video works. The PV dataset is sampled hourly from 05:00 to 17:00, and each hour is compressed into 10 seconds, allowing a whole solar day to unfold in minutes. Five datasetsโ€”Power (W), Global irradiance (W/mยฒ), Panel irradiance (W/mยฒ), Ambient temperature (ยฐC), Cell temperature (ยฐC)โ€”form five parallel layers moving simultaneously. Pitch tracks magnitude across the trilogy, while efficiency is used differently in each piece to shape loudness, timbre, and spatial behaviour.

Three video artists were invited to create accompanying worksโ€”sometimes data-driven, sometimes more interpretiveโ€”extending the translation ๐Ÿ๐ซ๐จ๐ฆ ๐๐š๐ญ๐š โ†’ ๐ฌ๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐ ๐ข๐ง๐ญ๐จ ๐ฌ๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐ โ†’ image. The installation offers an embodied way of perceiving renewable energy variability: daily envelopes, subtle deviations, and the contrast between winter and summer.
